INTERVIEW Q&A
When did you first start to sing?
When I started to talk.
Do you have any formal singing training?
No.
What other talents do you have?
I can frame pictures and I know a lot about shoes. I haven't had any training
but I really like to dance.
If you don’t make it on AMERICAN IDOL, what will you do?
I will come back home and keep working on making it, singing wherever
I can.
What are your personal goals in life?
To become an international globetrotter (travel all over), a mother, to
do my best at anything I try.
What album would your friends be surprised you own?
Color Me Badd, all of them. Actually, they wouldn't be surprised
What is the first CD you ever bought?
Sublime.
What is in your CD player right now?
Beyonce.
Who is your AMERICAN IDOL?
Stevie Wonder.
What is your favorite type of music?
R&B/Funk/Soul.
What is your favorite song to sing?
“You Put A Move On My Heart” by Tamia.
Favorite male pop artist?
Justin Timberlake.
Favorite female pop artist?
Beyonce.
Favorite album of all time?
“Music of My Mind” - Stevie Wonder.
Who in the music world do you think your style is most like?
I don't know. Musically, Stevie Wonder.
Most embarrassing moment?
Freshman year, my friend and I were in charge of the homecoming skit,
so we decided to make a hip-hop version of “Alice in Wonderland.”
It was a riot. People walked off the stage, they were so humiliated to
be involved. Just being the creator of it, I still think is humorous.
If you couldn’t sing, which talent would you most like to have?
I would like to be an artist, to be visually artistic. (I'm definitely
not at all)
What has been your proudest moment in life so far?
I'd say American Idol.
What is your definition of an AMERICAN IDOL?
Someone who can touch everyone with their voice.
Why do you want to be an AMERICAN IDOL?
Hopefully I can do that and because it would be a lot of hard work, very
worth it. I'd say it's the best job in the world, who wouldn't want that?
Who is your favorite judge and why?
Randy, he is a musician and says the truth without being incredibly rude.
Who is your least favorite judge and why?
Simon, sometimes it seems like he doesn't care, or just wants to be mean.
What advice do you have for other hopefuls?
Learn all you can about the business, prepare yourself for anything (success,
failure, idle time), keep trying.
What would people be surprised to learn about you?
I can be funny, I'm an extreme night owl, I could sleep all day if you
let me.
