I love Spanish music; things like Spanish ballads and salsa. I also like soul. Stevie Wonder, Peabo Bryson, Michael Bolton, etc. QUESTIONS When did you first start to sing? I was about 6 years old. Do you have any formal singing training? No. What other talents do you have? I'm pretty good in sports. If you don't make it on AMERICAN IDOL, what will you do? Continue to find other ways to break through and also continue to go to college. What are your personal goals in life? 1. Become a successful recording artist. 2. Have a family some day of my own. 3. Help my family out. 4. Find a way to combine relationship and my career to make it work. What album would your friends be surprised you own? N'Sync. Who is your AMERICAN IDOL? My American Idol is my mom. She was the one to bring me to life and give this opportunity to do what I enjoy. Do you have any rituals or things you do each time before you perform? Not really. Favorite male pop artist? Marc Anthony. Favorite female pop artist? Mariah Carey. Most embarrassing moment? At Cleveland auditions, when I got my gold ticket I came out and tripped on the carpet. What has been your proudest moment in life so far? My proudest moment in life so far has been being a part of this show. If you couldn't sing, which talent would you most like to have? I would love to be a professional sports player. What is your definition of an AMERICAN IDOL? My definition of an American Idol is someone who is dedicated to what they do, someone who is real and true, and someone who affects all the lives he/she touches in a positive way. This does not only apply to music. Who is your favorite judge and why? Simon Cowell. He's favorite because he knows what he wants and doesn't settle for anything less. What would people be surprised to learn about you? They would be surprised to learn that I am not fake. I express how I feel. Basically what you see is what you get. How has this changed your life? It has made my life into an absolute dream. It made me a better person. Do you have any lucky charms? No. Who are your heroes in life? My family. What's been your toughest obstacle in life? My toughest obstacle in life so far has been getting a big break. Thanks to this show, looks like that is coming to an end. Do you think the audition process was fair? I really think it was.
