Do you have any formal singing training? Yes, for about a year a and a half. What other talents do you have? Acting/theatre. Louis Armstrong impersonation. I'm a mean ping pong player. I can balance baseball bats, among other things, on my nose. If you don't make it on AMERICAN IDOL, what will you do? Keep trying somewhere else... What are your personal goals in life? To become a singing artist and tour the world. I want to be in a movie almost as much as I want to sing. I would also like to be a college professor or high school teacher after my career as an artist. What album would your friends be surprised you own? I'm so weird, I don't think my friends would be surprised by any cd I own. Who is your AMERICAN IDOL? My Dad. Do you have any rituals or things you do each time you perform? I usually try and separate myself from others, listen to music and pray before I perform. Most embarassing moments? Mistaking a woman for a pregnant one. What has been your proudest moment in life so far? When I took a bow at at center stage as Sky Masterson to a sell-out audience of 800 in "Guys and Dolls." If you couldn't sing, which talent would you most like to have? I would like to be able to read minds. What is your definition of an AMERICAN IDOL? A performer selected by America who feels he or she is an outstanding singer and personality. Who is your favorite judge and why? Simon, because he's the only one who has been straight with me. What would people be surprised to learn about you? Instead of dreamin' it, I'm livin' it. How has this changed your life? N/A Do you have any lucky charms? The only time I'll admit to having a lucky charm is when I look down at pocket aces in a game of Texas Hold 'em. Aces being the charm. Who are your heroes in life? My Mom and Dad. What's been your toughest obstacle in life? Honestly, for a while, it was my ego. Do you think the audition process was fair? I don't know. If you win, who will you thank first? God. |
