Canadian Actor/Supermodel Tricia Helfer will host "Canada's Next Top Model". Tricia, who currently plays the sexy Number Six on the hit sci-fi series "Battlestar Galactica," burst onto the fashion scene in 1992, when, at the age of 18, she won the Ford Supermodel of the World Contest.

Immediately signed by the Ford Modeling Agency, she quickly rose to the top of the fashion world, appearing in major campaigns for Chanel, Giorgio Armani, Saks Fifth Avenue and Victoria's Secret. She has appeared on the catwalk for designers such as Versace, Oscar de la Renta, Claude Montana, Salvatore Ferragamo, Christian Dior and Givenchy and has graced the covers of numerous fashion magazines including Elle and Cosmopolitan.

While her modeling career was still red-hot, Helfer became a correspondent on CHUM's "Ooh La La" and later segued into a full-time acting career where in addition to her role on "Battlestar" she has appeared in television shows such as "CSI Miami" and "Jeremiah". In 2006, she can be seen in the theatrical release Memore, starring alongside Dennis Hopper and Billy Zane, and in a guest appearance on CHUM's hit series "The Collector."
